Patzun Guatemala (Cakchiquel)  Artisans and the Pueblo

The Weavers and Artisans (and their families)

Juana and her four daughters (two pictured on left) make most of Terra Experience's Patzun doll clothes. Their huipiles are beautifully embroidered with either flower design or "feather" designs often with Mayan calendar figures around the neck hole (see Juana & her granddaughter's huipiles below. They would love to make more. Click on the picture below to see & purchase some of their fine work

Rosa and her daughter weave and embroider Terra Experience's "blue" Patzun huipils.

Pictured on the left and below are many of the  weavers from whom I buy used and lightly used Patzun huipils.  I hope the reading glasses Terra Experience provided in 2003 (left) will help them continue their fine work.  We return each year with pictures and school supplies.
