Colorful designs and small animals brocaded into the newer style open weave. Nice applied decoration around head and arm holes. Ends of panels are fringed. Panel sides are open so can be worn as poncho or easily stitched   Generally good used condition.

Price:  $ 20		San Lucas Toliman - Lake Atitlan, Guatemala small’s child's huipil. backstrap loomed, 2 panels with pleats.  Fun small figures and animals brocaded into the weave (probably cotton). Bottom of panels are cut. Nice decorations around neck and arm holes have some wear on velvet.    Moderately good used condition with some wear, fading some looseness in the base material near salvage. Click to see close-up.

H_SLT_013* Girl Small Woman's Huipil   Width:  21" Length:  19" Neck:54" wide, 2.5"  Weight:  Price: $20.00		San Lucas Toliman, Fun brocaded ducks in this  Lake Atitlan, Guatemala newer style back-strap woven huipil with open weaving that is more comfortable on a warm day. Ends of two panels are not finished except for machine stitching to avoid unraveling other two have loose selvage ends.  A good used huipil with a few light spots.

Ends of panels are fringed. Nice machine embroidered neck and shoulder decoration.    A good used huipil with a few loose threads and light wear.

Bottom of panels is fringed.  Ribbon around neck and armholes.  In good used condition. with a few loose threads.

Traditional older style of blue and white striped back ground with brocaded decorations of birds, corn and other designs.  The huipil has 2 panels of back strap loomed  cotton with colored brocade of cotton. Bottom of panels is fringed.  Nice trim applied around around neck and armholes.  Sides are open so can be worn as a poncho or easily stitched closed. In good used condition. with a few loose threads .
H_SLT_006 Huipil  Width: 31": Length:26" Neck :6"w, 2.5"d Price: $40.00		San Lucas Toliman,  New two paneled huipil fabric.  Handmade on back strap loom you can either open up the panels where they have been hand seamed together and use the slit as a neck hole to make a very comfortable "poncho" blouse.  Alternatively used the material as a wonderful tablecloth or pillow cover.  This is the newer more open weave style and would be quite comfortable to wear on a warmer day.  The colors are really striking.  In excellent condition with fringed edges to the panels.

San Lucas Toliman, Lake Atitlan Guatemala.  New  back-strap weaved double panel huipil textile made primarily of cotton. Traditional red and white stripes with figures of queztal, dogs, corn and other figures.  A woman who doesn't have the time to weave and and can afford to do so, would buy this textile and sew appliqué or embroider the neck and arm holes.  You can make a simple slit to open and wear - or use as a wonderful table cover.
H_SLT_030*  Woman's Huipil  Width: 36" Length:21-25 Neck: " 6" width, 4" depth weight:  14.5 oz Price: $45.00		San Lucas Toliman, Lake Atitlan Guatemala.  Rust red  open-weave style with brocaded decorations of ducks or swans (?). The huipil has 2 panels of back-strap loomed cotton with both sides fringed.  In very good used condition.  Sides are open so can be worn as a poncho or easily stitched closed.    Would be a comfortable huipile to wear everyday.
