Traditional Silver Earrings from Guatemala

These beautiful silver
earrings are in the traditional style worn by many Mayan women.
They are new - made by the silversmith Luis Emilio Gomez Arriola,
shown below with his daughter. He is proud of her, she is in
medical school. I am constantly amazed the commitment and ability of
some small artisans such as Luis, to insure that their children get
a good education. We are happy to do our very small part to
support his efforts by purchasing and selling his earrings.
