Description:        Wonderful 2008 Guatemala Calendar by Mayan Artists of Guatemala & Art Maya Tz'utuhil Gallery.  "In Guatemala's highlands on Lake Atitlan, nestled among three volcanoes, self-taught Maya artists record their threatened traditions in their paintings. Sales of this calendar assist the Network in Solidarity with the People of Guatemala (NISGUA), a non-profit grassroots. organization, and Arte May Tz'utuhil which supports Maya artists. This years calendar includes the symbols for the four glyphs that give each day a name.  Its a great way to begin to understand the complex Mayan calendar. En Espanol and in English!         
 

The calendar's size is 14 inches by 11 inches.  The calendar with dates  and place to write the dates of importance to you is about 8.5" x 9.5".

  To the left of the calendar is a picture of the artists with their families and a short write-up about them. Four of the 12 featured artists are women.
